What’s Wrong With the Texas Grid? (2724)
The record-breaking temperatures this last winter caused havoc with the Texas power grid. The grid could not deliver the power needed to cope with the temperatures and household needs. As a result, more than 4.8 million homes were left without power, and heat. At least two hundred people died.

Less than 20 minutes after the first plane left a burning, gaping hole on the 80th floor of the 110-story building, a second plane crashed into the south tower- dismissing what we initially thought was a freak accident. Svetozar “Steve” Pejovich, Ph.D. was Professor Emeritus at Texas A&M University, where he taught for over twenty years, and the author of many influential articles and books including The Economics of Property Rights: Towards a Theory of Comparative Systems and Law, Informal Rules, and Economic Performance: The Case for Common Law.
